Petogogan Urban Village Head, Nina Permata, said the cleaning aimed to provide security and comfort for residents who pass by, both motorized vehicle drivers and pedestrians.
"We deployed 10 PPSU personnel together with South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue to deploy firetruck to speed up the work," she said, Monday (7/1).
Nina explained the sidewalk and road around South Jakarta Mayor Office was cleaned because it is often crossed by large vehicles and heavy equipment working on water channels.
"We will routinely help clean around the channel construction site, so that everything is safe and comfortable, and the area also looks neat," she added.
Meanwhile, South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency Head, Syamsul Huda, stated his side deployed one high pressure truck with five personnel.
"The road and sidewalk cleaning run in two hours," he admitted.
